RTM What Is It?
RTM (Resin Transfer Moulding) is based on placing a dry fibre preform into a two-part closed mould and then injecting resin under pressure. The result is a part with two smooth surfaces.
It is ideal for applications such as automotive and rail where visible surfaces matter. The closed system keeps emissions low and the working environment clean, and delivers high dimensional repeatability.

PRODUCTION THE PROCESS
The mould surface is cleaned and release agent applied. Dimensional and surface quality checks are carried out.
The fibre type and orientation defined by the design are applied. Ply count is optimised to the mechanical requirements.
The resin system is mixed to precise ratios. The fibre is fully wetted out and void content minimised.
Ambient or oven cure is applied according to the material system, with time and temperature optimised.
After full cure the part is demoulded and the first dimensional and visual checks are made.
Trimming, drilling and surface finishing are completed. After quality approval the product is ready for dispatch.
