SECTORS WE SERVE

We deliver customised composite solutions across six different industries.

Choosing a Method

WHICH METHOD FOR WHICH SECTOR

All four production methods are carried out in our own plant. The right one depends on volume, part size, surface expectation and fire requirement.

MethodFibre contentTypical volumeStrongest fit
Hand lay-up25–35%One-offs, prototypesConstruction, marine, machinery
Vacuum infusion (VARTM)55–70%Low to medium seriesYacht and boat, energy, rail
Resin transfer moulding (RTM)50–60%Medium to high seriesAutomotive, rail, machinery
Pultrusion60–75%Continuous profileConstruction, energy infrastructure

Closed-mould methods such as vacuum infusion and RTM deliver both a higher fibre content and markedly lower styrene (VOC) emissions than open moulding. Wherever part geometry allows, we therefore steer new projects towards closed moulding — which is also the most tangible outcome of our ISO 14001 environmental management system.

How We Work

FROM ENQUIRY TO SERIES PRODUCTION

Since 1977, every step from mould to painted finished part has been carried out under one roof at our plant in Erenler.

01

Technical review

Part geometry, load case, surface class and fire requirement are assessed from a drawing, 3D model or sample. For rail work the applicable EN 45545-2 requirement set and hazard level are agreed up front.

02

Method and material

The production method is chosen by volume, tolerance and surface expectation; resin type (orthophthalic, isophthalic, fire retardant), reinforcement architecture and, where needed, core material follow.

03

Tooling

Patterns and moulds are made in our own workshop — matched two-part tooling for closed-mould processes, gelcoated female moulds for open moulding.

04

First article approval

The first part is checked for dimensions, surface and weight; laminate section and degree of cure are verified where required. Process parameters are frozen after approval.

05

Series and traceability

Under ISO 9001 we record raw material batches, formulations and process data, so every batch can be traced back. Part-level records are provided on request.

06

Finishing, paint and dispatch

Trimming, mounting holes, insert integration, primer and top coat are completed in house. Parts are shipped ready for assembly.

Frequently Asked

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Yes. Hand lay-up is usually preferred for one-offs and prototypes: tooling cost is low and large, complex geometries can be produced in a single piece. If a series is expected later, we plan the tooling strategy together at the prototype stage.

Yes. Our painted glass reinforced laminate meets requirement set R1 at hazard levels HL1, HL2 and HL3 under TS EN 45545-2:2023, per the classification report issued by TSE. The report and our ISO certificates can be downloaded as PDFs from the Management Systems page.

Both. We can make patterns and moulds in our own workshop, and we also produce from customer-owned tooling. Incoming moulds are condition-checked before production starts.

A drawing or 3D model, the annual or batch quantity, the service environment, and any fire, strength or surface specification. With that we can work out method and pricing quickly — send it through the form on the Contact page.

Yes. The six sectors above are where we work most, but we also produce polyurethane items and patented street furniture designs. We will look at any application where glass reinforced polyester is a sensible choice.
