Like many industrial firms in Türkiye, Zenginler İmalat began as a family business and reached the present day through generational succession. Two names stand out in the company's forty-eight year history.
İbrahim Zengin — Founder
İbrahim Zengin founded Zenginler İmalat in 1977 in Sakarya. From the beginning the firm concentrated on polyester manufacturing.
The years that followed took the business from workshop scale to industrial scale:
- 1984 — the company begins contributing its own designs to the automotive industry.
- 1988 — it moves into series manufacturing of spare parts.
- 1992 — OEM component supply to major manufacturers begins.
- 1999 — the company relocates to the plant it occupies today.
The defining decision of that period was to build the company on a manufacturing capability — the ability to work polyester and composite — rather than on a single product. That approach created the ground on which the next generation could diversify across sectors.
Arda Zengin — The Company Today
Arda Zengin is the name representing the company today. Its registered title is "Zenginler İmalat ve Tic. — Arda Zengin", and the ISO certificates and TSE test reports are issued under that title.
Under Arda Zengin the company has advanced along two axes.
1. Broadening the process range
Alongside traditional hand lay-up, the firm added closed-mould technologies:
- 2015 — pultrusion integrated.
- 2016 — RTM (resin transfer moulding) added.
- Alongside these, vacuum infusion capability.
These investments turned the company from a single-process manufacturer into a supplier able to select the process to suit the part.
2. Certification and international standards
The second axis was documenting the manufacturing. Today the company holds:
- ISO 9001:2015 — Quality Management System (QA/TR/9001/2224)
- ISO 14001:2015 — Environmental Management System (QA/TR/14001/1697)
- ISO 45001:2018 — Occupational Health and Safety Management System (QA/TR/45001/1189)
On the product side, classification report no. 304218, issued by the Turkish Standards Institution in the name of "Zenginler İmalat ve Tic. — Arda Zengin", documents that the company's painted glass fibre reinforced laminate meets all of HL1, HL2 and HL3 in requirement set R1 of TS EN 45545-2:2023.
That classification permits use in the most demanding European rail applications, including underground metro systems — a notable threshold for a composite manufacturer in Türkiye.
What the Two Generations Share
The founding generation built the company on a manufacturing capability. The second generation made that capability measurable and documentable. Given that quality in composites is something you cannot see, that second step was not incidental — it was what the sector required.
